Demo Game - Set Up

Marshal Davout has abandoned any attempt to hold Magdeburg or the river Elbe. He has ordered his army to concentrate around Helmstedt in a final attempt to stop the Prussian advance and hold Hannover.

Prussian
Prince Blucher has achieved all of his campaign objectives by taking Magdeburg and securing the line of the river Elbe. He is reluctant to allow the French time to recover from their series of defeats, and is determined to follow up his advantage by an advance on Hannover.


Wargame Table
The table consists of map squares (left) A4, A5, A6, (centre) B4, B5, B5 and (Right) C4, C5, C6

Table at start of game, seen from same direction as tactical map. Helmstedt is in the middle of the table. French are deployed on blinds. Prussians will enter from the right on blinds. There is one French blind below the town, one in the town and two behind, and one above the town.

3 - hold most squares at the end of move 12
